This November 2021 NaNoWriMo, I’ll be tackling a new young adult novel about a pair of teens grappling with the heights of depression. This is my eleventh year doing NaNoWriMo, off and on since 2001. I lost access to an old email address so I had to reregister. This past year I reworked two coming-of-age manuscripts based on my childhood and adolescence: A Childhood Lost to the Wind and Prologue to an Epitaph. In addition, I wrote Secret Whispers, Deja vu, and Of Laughter & Heartbreak.
I’m a novelist, poet, and painter that enjoys yoga and spirituality classes. Although I’m a South Dakota native, I’ve lived in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York on and off throughout my childhood. Currently, I reside in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with the love of my life, Robert, our two bobtails, two Manx, a Cavalier King Charles/Cocker Spaniel mix, and near our four adult children (the grown kids’ spouses), and a grandson. Other hobbies include Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), camping, and budget travel, particularly coastal Maine, Oregon, and the Carolinas.
